Our Quartz Epoxy Floor Installation Process
Step 1: Prepping the Surface
We start by grinding the concrete using a powerful stand-behind diamond grinder to ensure the surface is properly abraded. For the edges and tight corners, we switch to a handheld grinder to make sure every inch is ready for coating. Once grinding is complete, we vacuum the entire area thoroughly, leaving behind a clean, dust-free surface.
Step 2: Epoxy Base Coat & Quartz Broadcast
Once the base layer has dried, we scrape the entire floor in two directions using handheld scrapers to loosen any excess quartz. Then we vacuum thoroughly to remove all loose particles, leaving a clean and textured surface.
Step 3: Scrape & Vacuum Excess Quartz
Step 4: Clear Coat & Second Quartz Broadcast
Step 5: Scrape & Vacuum Again
Once dry, we scrape the floor again in two directions to free any remaining loose quartz. A final vacuum ensures the surface is clean and ready for sealing.
Step 6: Final Clear Coat
To finish, we apply the final clear coat. Edges are cut in with care, and the polyaspartic is squeegeed evenly across the floor. We complete the process with two smooth roller passes to lock everything in. The result? A stunning, ultra-durable quartz epoxy floor that’s ready to handle anything.
